Webinar: Supporting Anxious Children in Childminding Settings

Childminding Ireland will host a Webinar on 11th April – “Supporting Anxious Children in Childminding Settings” by Dr Mary O’Kane.

In this webinar Dr Mary O’Kane will explain anxiety in children, why it occurs, and its physical and emotional impact. She will also offer you practical advice on how to support anxious children, helping them to manage their fears and gain confidence. All children worry at times, according to Dr Mary O’Kane, however for some children managing their anxieties can be a real challenge. She acknowledges the important role childminders play in supporting children to understand and manage their anxiety.

Dr Mary O’Kane is a Lecturer in Psychology and Education, she is also the author of Perfectly Imperfect Parenting: Connection not Perfection. Mary is a regular contributor to Ireland AM; Newstalk, Galway Bay FM and a range of other national and local radio shows discussing a broad range of parenting issues. She is an expert on child wellbeing, parenting, and education, and is well known for her humorous down to earth approach.
