    Competition Now Bigger than Ever

    More Categories for Children & Childminders Can Enter Art or Photo

     

    The Childminding Ireland Art Competition is back this year and it is bigger and better than ever. Last year’s competition was a huge success and we want to continue to build on this. We are excited to be able to able to offer more prizes and more categories this year. We are also giving childminders the opportunity to enter their own artwork and/or photograph.

    The competition is a fabulous celebration of creativity and an opportunity to nurture the artistic talents of children and childminders. All the staff in Childminding Ireland are really looking forward to receiving this year’s creations. We have fantastic prizes on offer for the winners too.

    Children's Competition

    Ask the children you mind to draw, colour or paint something that takes their fancy! This is a chance for children to show off their creative talents, support fine motor skills and build confidence. A selection of the work will be uploaded to our digital media for all to see.

    We have fabulous prizes for the creative winners and for their childminders too!

    Children Age 0-3
    • 1st Prize for winning child: €30 Art & Hobby Voucher
    • 1st Prize for winning child’s childminder: €30 One4All Voucher
    • 2nd Prize for winning child: €20 Art & Hobby Voucher

    Children Age 4-7

    Childminder's Competition

    This year we have extended the competition so that childminders can also enter the competition. We would love to see you sending in a piece of artwork that you created or a photograph that you took.

    Here are the categories and prizes on offer in this years competition...

    Childminders Art Category
    • 1st Prize: €30 One4All Voucher
    • 2nd Prize: €20 One4All Voucher

    Childminders Photography Category
    • 1st Prize: €30 One4All Voucher
    • 2nd Prize: €20 One4All Voucher

     

    How to Enter

    Art Competition

    All entrants to the Art Competition should use A3 or A4 paper and use standard art materials like colouring pencils, crayons, markers or paints.

    Entrants artwork should be photographed and emailed to art@childminding.ie before 30th November 2021.

    For the Childrens Art Competition: Don’t forget to include the child’s name and age as well as the childminder’s name and contact details in your email. Please request written permission from the child’s parent or guardian prior to entry.

    Photography Competition

    All entrants should take an original photograph and send in a digital copy. Entrants should send their photograph, name and contact details via email to art@childminding.ie before 30th November 2021.

     

    Announcing the Winners

    The winners will be announced in December 2021. See competition terms and conditions below.

     

    Terms and Conditions

    Entrants to the Art Competition agree to the following terms:

    Children entering must be under 13 and be minded by a home-based childminder. Childminders entering must be home-based childminders. Artwork or photography must be the child’s/ childminder’s own work and not computer generated. Childminding Ireland staff will choose the winner. Judges decision is final. No alternative prizes can be offered. Winners and Childminders in any category may be used in Childminding Ireland and/or sponsors promotional material. Childminder to send pictures of themselves and the winning child (for childrens competition) with their prizes. Any entrants work may also be used in Childminding Ireland and/or sponsors promotional material.
