Working as a childminder is about to change. The Department of Children & Youth Affairs (DCYA) plan to action the following in the childminding sector: Regulatory Change, Qualifications & Training, Quality Supports and Funding & Financial Supports.
Make sure you have your say before it is too late. Here are the deadlines and links that childminders need to be aware of in order to make their voices heard:
Click here to access the DCYA Online Survey. The deadline for completion is this Thursday, 10 October 2019. Childminding Ireland has put together a video to guide you through how childminders who have studied the Draft Childminding Action Plan are proposing to complete the survey. If you want to complete a submission to DCYA, click here. The deadline for submissions is also Thursday 10 October 2019. A submission is similar to a letter as you can write your thoughts on the proposed changes (in less than 1000 words) and these will be reviewed by DCYA.
There is an Open Policy Debate which childminders can attend in Dublin on 16 October. If you are interested in going, contact
