Childminders: Be Informed, Be Heard, Be Ready

Childminding Ireland’s AGM 2023 will be held in the Ashling Hotel, Parkgate Street, Dublin 8 and we really hope members can join us.  It takes place on Saturday 21st October between 10.30am – 2pm.  You may also attend virtually via a Zoom link if you prefer.

We believe it is critical that members attend this year as the sector is on the cusp of major changes.  The AGM will give you an update on the National Action Plan to date, the opportunity to meet with other childminders & to be ready to play your part in the consultation process on the forthcoming changes to childminding. 


The most popular part of the AGM, among members, is the Members Forum.  This is an opportunity for members to raise issues and discuss concerns with fellow childminders and the Board.

Please let us know by phone on 01 287 8466, email fhccbeg@puvyqzvaqvat.vr or the ‘Message’ section of the booking form if you have an issue that you would like raised during the forum.  Points for discussion can also be raised on the day.  As always, we look forward to a lively session.

If you plan to join us at this year’s AGM, you should use the Book Now section of this page and remember to select if you will attend in person in the Ashling Hotel or online (click the arrow in the ‘Choose a date’ section of the Book Now box). Let us know if you have any special dietary requirements in the ‘Message’ section.

A webinar link will be sent to any members who wish to attend virtually.  Please be aware that the ability to ask questions and comment online will be somewhat restricted at this event. While we will use the online chat feature and will do our best to manage this on the day, some of your questions and points of view may not be dealt with.  You are welcome to get in touch with us at any stage after the AGM to express your views or to raise an issue.
