Siolta - Childminding Ireland Appointment - Childminding Ireland has been formally assigned the task of supporting the roll out of Síolta with Childminders, and Patricia Murray has been appointed as a Síolta Co-ordinator. Engagement with Síolta will be promoted throughout the membership and focussed support with adherence to the principles will be given to the Childminders who are delivering the ECCE Scheme.

Note from Patricia Murray, CEO, Childminding Ireland in response to article - 'This is not a new tax, Childminding Ireland has always recommended that Childminders pay RSI contributions to the state to entitle them to state benefits and contibute to the Irish economy. The only recent change is that it will now be collected by the Revenue Commissioners as oppose to Dept of Social portection (formerly the Dept of Social Welfare) for a more efficient collection.'
